Climate
The largest city in Texas, Houston enjoys a humid-subtropical climate. The average yearly temperature is 79.7 degrees Fahrenheit and on occasion, because of its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, Houston occasional experiences severe weather during hurricane season.
Getting Around
Getting around in Houston is easy not only because of the two freeways that circle the city like a bull’s eye, but also due to Houston’s public transportation system.
